Hey Everyone,This blog is your guide to Toronto best restaurant gossip. Let start off with a bang. Joanne Kates tore apart Lakes Restaurant in her most recent restaurant review. Is anyone fucking surprised? Of new chef Jason Maw, formerly sous chef at Babo, she says:
"An optimist could be forgiven for assuming that any chef who worked for Bob Bermann, Boba's over-achieving chef, would be excellent. Hence my disappointment at the indifferent state of Lakes's current kitchen."
If you just asked anyone in Rosedale, they would tell you to skip over Lakes. There are far too many good places to eat (ie Pastis, Abbot on the Hill, The Rosedale Diner) to possibly waste your precious time and money on a crapshot.
I second that motion...
